What is happening in the markets right now?

The dashboard shows all markets at a glance: stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities, yield curves, the rate moves the market prices in for the Fed and the ECB, the S&P 500 volatility surface and the economies of major countries. Everything at the daily close, grouped by theme and freely arranged in your own views.

How it works

Each tile measures a market through a broad ETF and converts its return into the local currency, so that a euro-traded ETF on US stocks shows the US market and not the dollar. Rates, currencies and volatility come from public time series of central banks and index providers.

The dashboard computes the priced-in rate moves from short-term yields: a yield is roughly the average policy rate until its maturity. This gives one rate per meeting, and dividing by 0.25 points gives the number of moves. It is an approximation that works without licensed futures.

The pages group the tiles by theme: overview, stocks and risk, rates and bonds, and currencies, commodities and macro. In your own views you can add, move and resize tiles; larger tiles show more rows and comparison lines. If you like, the dashboard opens as your start page after you sign in.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real-time quotes?

No, all values are daily closes. The dashboard is recomputed every night and shows the last trading day.

How does the dashboard compute the priced-in rate moves?

From public short-term yields: a yield is roughly the average policy rate until its maturity plus a spread. The code looks for one rate per meeting that fits all maturities as closely as possible and divides the change by 0.25 points.

Why does the dashboard show returns in local currency?

So that the tile measures the market and not the exchange rate. A euro-traded ETF on US stocks also rises when only the dollar gains. The code therefore converts the price into dollars with the ECB reference rates.

Can I customize the dashboard?

Yes. Your own views can hold any tiles, which you can move and resize. The views are saved in your account and appear on all your devices.

Where does the data come from?

ETF prices from general price data, rates and exchange rates from central banks, macro data from the OECD and the BIS. The methodology page lists all sources.
