What's new?
Portfolio Lab is in beta and grows every week. Here is what has been added. Send requests and bug reports through the contact form.
Open beta
Anyone can now sign up while places are available. Also new: terms of use, pages that no longer jump while loading, and market data that is precomputed every night, so sentiment, volatility, options, macro and asset classes open much faster.
See every tool without an account
Every tool shows visitors a preview: what it does, how to read the result, and a sample calculation on made-up data, computed with the same functions as with an account.
English edition and free calculators
Portfolio Lab is now available in English at portfolio-lab.net, with amounts in dollars and its own articles. The free calculators (recurring investment, withdrawal, FIRE, leveraged ETF) are in the navigation under Plan.
Five areas
The tools are organized by task: Build, Test, Plan, Analyze and Markets, each area with its own overview.
Risk and attribution, withholding tax, sustainability
New: risk and attribution, withholding tax on dividends in the backtest and sustainability in the look-through. Long calculations run in their own processes, with a visible queue.
Markets and new strategies
Sentiment with our own fear and greed index, volatility, an options calculator, bubbles (LPPLS), ships at the chokepoints, plus CPPI, long/short, carry and leverage in the backtest.
Beta launch
Portfolio Lab goes live: accounts, sync across devices, backtests with real prices.
